Slice Secures $7M in Seed Funding to Transform Global Equity Management

Slice, a company based in Wilmington, DE, and Tel Aviv, Israel, has recently announced a significant milestone, raising $7 million in Seed funding. The funding round was led by TLV Partners, with contributions from R-Squared Ventures, Jibe Ventures, and notable angel investors, alongside support from leading law firms Wilson Sonsini and Fenwick & West.

The funding marks Slice’s emergence from stealth mode, unveiling a pioneering global equity platform that harnesses the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to ensure continuous compliance across borders. With the aim of simplifying the complexities associated with managing equity on a global scale, Slice’s platform serves as a crucial tool for CFOs, facilitating the issuance of equity to international teams while navigating intricate legal and tax regulations.

Slice’s CEO, Maor Levran, highlighted the pressing need for such a solution, drawing from his extensive experience as a corporate lawyer. He emphasized the challenges faced by companies in understanding and adhering to ever-changing regulations, citing potential fines exceeding $200,000 due to errors in compliance.

The platform’s AI-driven compliance engine continuously monitors changes in equity regulations and taxation, providing proactive alerts to employers and employees to mitigate legal and tax risks. Additionally, Slice offers fully customizable equity workflows, supporting 23 countries initially and scaling to over 100 countries by the end of 2024.

The $7 million Seed funding will be instrumental in further developing Slice’s platform and expanding its market reach across the US and Europe. By addressing the global complexities of equity grants, Slice aims to revolutionize equity management, empowering companies to optimize the value of global equity while ensuring compliance and tax optimization.

The successful funding round underscores confidence in Slice’s potential to disrupt the traditional equity management landscape. With its AI-powered platform, Slice is poised to redefine the relationship between employers and their international employees, paving the way for more efficient and effective global equity management.
