Berlin-based promiseQ, building an AI-based video surveillance technology, has secured a significant investment in its latest seed funding round. The undisclosed seven-figure investment, led by ExtraVallis and APY Ventures, underscores promiseQ’s commitment to advancing security solutions.

Co-founded by Elias Kardel and Tolga Ermis, promiseQ offers an innovative platform aimed at reducing false alarms in CCTV systems, thereby streamlining surveillance operations. With the support of existing business angels and venture capital firms, including Valentin Schmitt and Uli Schmitt, promiseQ is poised to expand its range of products and services, driving further growth in the security sector.

The company’s flagship product, Threat Filter, employs a hybrid AI system to distinguish between genuine threats and false alarms with an impressive 95% success rate. This breakthrough technology eliminates the need for costly monitoring centers, offering users real-time oversight of video surveillance alarms.

Tolga Ermis, CEO of promiseQ, expressed enthusiasm about the funding, stating, “promiseQ has rapidly evolved into a dynamic and trusted player within the security landscape. Our Video Intelligence Platform, combined with our Threat Filter AI capabilities, has empowered our clients to significantly enhance video surveillance accuracy, reduce operational costs, and drive productivity improvements.”

Elias Kardel, CTO of promiseQ, added, “Our vision has always been to provide our clients with the most advanced solutions, and today, we see that vision coming to fruition. Together with our dedicated team and strategic partners, we’re excited to contribute to the innovation in the security industry.”

Founded in 2021, promiseQ leverages artificial intelligence, edge software, and human review analysis to revolutionize video surveillance management. The company’s Video Intelligence Platform (VIP) offers centralized control and customization of surveillance networks, making it an essential tool for businesses seeking to enhance security operations.

With this latest funding injection, promiseQ aims to continue its mission of delivering cutting-edge security solutions to its clients, ushering in a new era of efficiency and reliability in video surveillance.
